Support Camp Starlight on #GivingTuesday

Camp Starlight is excited to be taking part in a new holiday tradition that's taking hold across the country: #GivingTuesday, a movement to create a national day of giving. In the same way that retail stores take part in Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the nonprofit community is coming together for #GivingTuesday. This year, Giving Tuesday will be December 3, 2013.

Founded in 1999, Camp Starlight is a week-long residential summer camp for children in Oregon and Washington who are affected by HIV/AIDS. Many of our campers are HIV+ themselves, while others have someone in their immediate family – a parent, a sibling, a care-taker – who is. Camp Starlight brings forth a sense of safety, acceptance and friendship so that kids can enjoy a rich, rewarding and fun summer camp experience in an environment free from the burdens of stigma or shame.

Children come to Camp Starlight at no cost to their families. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies upon donations big and small from individuals and the community to operate.

Start your holiday season off in the spirit of giving by making a contribution to Camp Starlight on Tuesday, December 3. Share this page with your friends and family, and encourage them to participate in #GivingTuesday as well. Together, we will be supporting a cause that makes a difference in the lives of these children.

Thank you for participating in #GivingTuesday, and thank you for supporting Camp Starlight.
